This guide explains how to connect and configure Stripe as a payment method in your Fathershops store.

  • Log in to your FatherShops Dashboard

  • Go to Apps -> Payments

  • Find Stripe & click Settings

General Settings

In the General section, configure the following options:

  1. Status: Enable this option to activate Stripe payments on your store.
  2. Order Status (Created)- Status applied when an order is created.
  3. Order Status (Paid))- Status applied when payment is successfully completed.
  4. Order Status (Failed))- Status applied when payment fails.
  5. Order Status (Refunded)- Status applied when a payment is refunded.
  6. Minimum Total- Stripe will be disabled if the cart value is below this amount.Sort Order- Controls the position of Stripe in the payment methods list at checkout.(Optional – can be left blank.)

  7. Allow Customers to Use Stored Cards - Enable or disable saved cards for returning customers.

  8. Credit Card Template- Choose how card details appear on the checkout page:

    • Template 1: Card fields displayed in one line

    • Template 2: Card fields displayed in two lines


Switch to the Stripe Settings tab and enter your API keys.

  1. Public Key (Test)- Enter the stripe public key for test environment
  2. Secret Key (Test) - Enter the stripe secret key for test environment
  3. Public Key (Live) - Enter the stripe public key for test environment
  4. Secret Key (Live)- Enter the stripe secret key for test environment
  5. Transaction Mode - Select Test for testing payments or Live for real transactions.
  6. Charge Mode- Choose how charges should be processed (as per your business requirement).
  7. Custom Transaction description-Enter custom text that will appear in the Stripe Dashboard for each transaction.
  8. After completing all fields, click Save to apply the changes.
