When using FatherShops' services, you have control over how your personal data is collected and used. If you deactivate your store, you can request the erasure of all personal data associated with it.


Requesting to delete a store’s data from FatherShops is distinct from requesting the deletion of all personal data associated with your FatherShops account. 


Store owners, including merchants and partners, can request the deletion of personal data on their deactivated stores. If you use FatherShops services, such as payment solutions, you may also request that your personal data held by FatherShops be erased.


Your personal data is separate from your customers' data. You don’t need to deactivate your store to delete an individual customer’s data.

Deactivating Your Store

Follow these steps to deactivate your store


Log in to Your Account:

Visit FatherShops and log in using your credentials.


Access Store Settings:

Navigate to the Store Settings section in your dashboard.


Manage Your Subscription:

In the Store Settings, click on the Manage Subscription option.


Deactivate Your Store:

Locate and click on the Deactivate Your Store button.



Erasing Personal Data from a Deactivated Store


When you deactivate your store, FatherShops retains your store's information for up to 2 years in case you decide to reactivate it. However, you can request the deletion of personal data before that timeframe.


Things to consider before submitting a data deletion request:


  • Data can only be deleted from a deactivated store.
  • Deletion applies only to the store you request; data in other active or inactive stores remains untouched.
  • Deleted data is not recoverable, and the store cannot be reactivated.
  • Only the store owner can request data deletion; requests from staff members on behalf of the owner are not accepted.


To request the deletion of your store’s personal data, email us at [email protected]. Data will be deleted within 14 days of completing the request. Alternatively, you can raise a ticket by clicking the link below.

If you change your mind, contact us before the 14-day period expires to stop the data deletion process. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.


Erasing Your Personal Data from FatherShops


Your personal data includes information such as your name, email address, payment details, and account information. Deleting this data ensures it is removed from all FatherShops accounts and stores linked to your email address.


Things to consider before submitting a personal data deletion request:
Personal data can only be erased after you have deactivated all associated stores and accounts.
Once erased, personal data is not recoverable.

Erasing Customer Data

If you’re a customer of a FatherShops merchant, contact the merchant directly to request the deletion of your personal data.


Merchants receiving customer data deletion requests should follow our guidelines to process these requests promptly.
